Sounds like it could be slightly tail heavy. I have the larger 50cc Pilot Extra 330. Originally I had added 8 ounces of lead to the nose to get it to balance at the cg mark. After ten flights I removed all the nose weight and I like the way it flies. I have the same results on a 45 degree inverted upline. I would only be concerned if it pitched to the gear on that upline. Landing is also a breeze as I just bring it in slightly above idle and it settles right in. The wing on the 330 is very forgiving for a slightly aft CG. I have found that the recommended CG is a good starting point but in the end its up to the pilot to set it where you find it the most comfortable.

I have helped a few guys with this plane. It sounds like its definitely a little tail heavy. This plane flys amazingly well but it does not like to be tail heavy at all. Every flying problem I helped with was cured by moving batteries forward or adding nose weight.

That what I was thinking, I'm going to more batteries a little forward. Thanks guys

batteries forward and 2 oz lead in the nose on motor box, still flies like crap. Feels tail heavy wants to snap on a hard turn. IM so disappointed with this thing, my first pilot, I do not think the cg are even close. Today I put to deep sockets on top of the battery in the motor box wire tied and felt no change.

Where is the balance point now that you've moved the batteries forward and added some weight to the nose?

have not check it yet I know farther forward then the cg, my cg mark is on the plane is about on inch behind tube.

Like I said earlier my Extra 330 SC is slightly larger 88 " plane. The CG mark on mine is exactly on the aft side of the wing tube. I would have thought all sizes in this model would be very close to that. Currently I have my CG set 1/4 inch behind that mark and it fly's great. You may want to contact Tony at Pilot RC and verify the location.

Unfortunately the online manual for these planes are generic to all models in that size group. I have owned three Pilot RC airframes and all have been correct. That doesn't mean that a stamp couldn't have been put in the wrong place.

I just check cg I have real nose heavy on the wing tube. the cg is an inch behind wing tube tried there, got better with more nose weight, now heavy still flies like its real tail heavy. I think I have a incidence problem something not right. In going to call Tony

Talk to Chief today, cg is on back side of wing tube, Mine is on the heavy side I'm running a can, I will remove the can , put cg on the back of tube, make sure I using all the travel on elevator for 3d. I also found one elevator that a hair slow compared to the other replaced it , check with sticks , both elevator match. This 330 has a long fuse so its harder to 3d. So I have my work cut out for me this week, Shame I love that planebender can, sounds sweet, so smooth. Wish me luck.
