We certainly can but I just do not have the specs for ZDZ 180 and I have not seen them on their website.

On laser cut kits such as this,do you feel that the charred (glazed) contact edges will allow glue to penetrate? On the few kits I have done that used this process,I went thru the extra step of lightly sanding any contact edges,do you think this is necessary?

When we first started doing laser cutting we did some testing and found no noticeable difference on the part that had been sanded clean or still had the Browns/burnt edge to it.

Well, except of course it needs some long stand-offs and a short motorbox or a giant hole in the firewall to accommodate the rear carb.

Here is the standard firewall if the carb has to go through the firewall. There is also a large access hatch on top of the engine box. Obviously we can also cut standoffs if it requires.

This build is probably getting a DA 200 so the engine box is 2 inches shorter than what we would cut for a 150/170 but if we decide to do a 150/170 we can add our plywood spacers to get the engine in the correct position.

Here is a picture of the ZDZ 180. With any of our kits built using the standard 150/170 firewall position you have easy access to the needles of the ZDZ 180 when mounted flush to the firewall

There's a video around here somewhere, where a Lazor pointer is pointing at the needles of another engine type then carefully he installs the cowling. The red dot on the cowling is where you make the hole for the needles. Works great for having to make the hole for a ZDZ180 carb needles on the top side of the cowl also.

The first picture shows the removable access hatch on the top of the engine box. Picture # 2 you can see the access hatch is removed

The great thing of cutting the kits when ordered if the customer needs a different access hatch we can cut it in where it is needed when cutting the kit out.
