Yep... dumb mistake... I feel like a tool. (not the first time, or the last ha ha)

I'm just going to grease up the wing tube, pop it into the phenolic and then create a fillet with Hysol.
Should be WAY strong. I'll hog out the foam around the phenolic some to give the hysol a "ROOT".
The fix will be a min though.. I gotta sell a house and MOVE first!

I did the same thing on one of my wings. Its really an easy fix.

Maybe just make a 'ring' of phenolic inserted in the root rib with a grafted-in piece of plywood for extra support (assuming the root rib isn't already plywood)?

Just checking to see if this plane was ever finished. I really enjoyed the build. What an incredible plane. Never heard of a Dalton kit before.
