Thanks, have you had a e flight power 360 just need to decide between the GA6000.8 and the power 360. The GA6000.8 looks great in the videos.

I had some nice experience with two GA6000 motors last month, I was flying two different airplanes(SegevDesign new Homungus and MX2) with a 12 setup, lovely motor, with crazy amount of power!

2015 CTS Dongguan, China - Ido "DoDo" Segev Freestyle demo (4 min 41 sec)

Have not tried an e-flite 360. One thing I like about the DA is it has a regular motor shaft with a bolt in the center for adding an EDF fan rotor inside cooling spinner for better cooling flow. Don't need to drill 4 bolt holes in prop.

One thing you will discover when you start operating these extreme power motors is that no matter how much you tighten the prop nut you get slippage between the back of the prop and the prop drive washer. A little of this will loosen the prop due to wear of the back of the prop. Then you will have a large, heavy, plane with a prop that may not pull it back to the runway.
I had good results with the 50cc motors but the more powerful 65cc motors slipped every time. I had to install pins in the spinner back plate to stop the slippage. The only sure solution is a motor with multiple prop bolts, a fact that the gas motor guys had to deal with years ago.

Have you had the same problem with the hacker Q80 motors? Can you still use PJN electric props with motors like the power 360 that require drilling the prop hub or is the hub to thin and you have to use gas props.

I have only used the Rimfire 50cc and 65cc motors which have only a center bolt. The 50cc can be tightened enough to prevent prop slippage but not the 65cc motor. I had to drill and pin the prop to the spinner to stop the slippage.

I got my DaulSky GA6000.8 mounted today on my EF Yak 54 91" I used a set of 2.5" DA50 standoffs and two 2mm spacers that came with the engine to get the correct 160mm firewall to thrust washer distance. I'm going to use a CC edge HV160 to run the GA6000.8.

Looks great. Please keep posting follow ups as you move along.
I'd be real interested in the batteries used and all up weight AUW and flying experience once you get a chance to fly it.

I just mounted this motor and esc (dualsky 130a) on a hanger 9 carden extra 300. I'm running the falcon 20x12.5 3 blade prop with a tru-turn spinner and thunder power 70c 12s lipo. This set up has plenty of power with unlimited vertical. I ran it for 8 minutes and had 24% battery left.

That's exactly what my EF yak weighs with a 70cc twin minus fuel! I would think the electric would be heavier.

Hi Superduke! I have the exact same motor and ESC in my latest build, for 12s. I have not flown yet so if you don't mind, I have two questions:

- What firmware did you use on the CC160?
- What settings did you choose (timing, frequency, etc?)

Thank you!
