Re: 100,000 Random Facts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random fun fact - The more common Clarinet design was established around 1830. Back in the day, most if not all clarinets were made from boxwood, and others from Ivory. However, ivory is no longer used due to it's finicky properties and tendency to crack.
Now we use grenadilla wood and also resonite, and a few other hard woods. Also, many clarinets are made from hard rubber, and are considered to be favored over resonite. Resonite and hard rubber clarinets are more common and preferred in marching bands and outdoor gigs due to their resistance to cracking. Wood instruments, when exposed to too any extreme weather conditions and temperatures, tend to either crack or play sharp/flat and also develop intonation issues.

If anyone even bothered to read all of that, another random fun fact - you have high tolerance to off-topic lectures. Congrats!

"then" (cronlogical) is often mistakenly used for the word "than" (comparative) when a comparison is made.
