Do you have any details on the BD-5J? Which kit? What was in it? How does it fly?

I would apologize for hijacking the OPs thread but I think we are past that point.

I think it is the future, just hope it is better than the ix-12 is/was/might have been/could have been... lol

Seriously, the ix-12 was the bleeding edge for Spektrum so looking for the ix-20 to be much better. Not going to buy one as my DX-9 works for all I want to do with the bind-n-fly for now but this is the future for Spektrum.

Just watched a video of it being used. Very responsive. Everything the 12 was not, this now is. I think they got it nailed. But I'm struggling to want to sell my dx20 to upgrade. I was hoping to have both to do a slow transition. I'll be watching reviews closely

Spektrum™ iX20 20-Channel Smart Transmitter System (3 min 12 sec)

It looks awesome, I like the fast change between models time, and the fact has a camera to take photos of you planes ( i could never get my own pics to work with my IX12) but other then that i love my IX12. it has more detailed menus then my DX6 and DX8 G2 does but thankfully with the videos on youtube i can get most things to work for me.

I love that i can bluetooth a wireless speaker that clips to my belt and i can play my music while i fly.

I personally think it looks fantastic. There's been a number of people that have come forward on social media that either played with it or tested it and say it completely blows the iX12 out of the water. All of the flaws the iX12 had seem to have disappeared with the 20.

I have had mine for a few months. I also was a beta tester on the iX12. There is a huge difference in boot up speed with the iX20. But you only do this once per day.

For those of us that use the sliders, the iX20 has a welcome change. They are in a very good location. The added trimmers are also great. They have improved the controls from the DX20 and 18.

The improvements in programming have been updated in the iX12.

There are more things to come that will integrate into the radio. Smart ESC with Smart Batteries and RX allow telemetry options that are very cool. The future looks bright!

I will have one very soon. I think it looks great, and does not have the goofy Transformers toy look like some of the heli specific stuff some friend's have! The touch function on the switches are cool, and I like having 3 across on each side. I have had my DX18g1 since 2012, and it has been flawless, but the additional features are nice. It will talk to a bunch of new stuff, like the new ESC's and receivers.

Those of us that still have an iX12 should get a discount if we upgrade to the iX20.
