Define "pretty good plane". I have one with an OS 1.08 and love it. However, it's far from a beginners' airplane. Getting the landing gear set up right is tricky, and the plane is VERY easy to flip or cartwheel on the ground, especially during landing. If you have some experience with high wing-loading and scale airplanes it's great.

Ditto on what HPA said.....the landing gear and landing, period, is where it is most vulnerable.
The old saying is , If a Gee Bee makes it to it's second flight, it's a good Gee Bee. If you gotta have one, you gotta have one. |
