DA 150

Hello,
After two short flights and after I bring the plane home I notice a little pool of gas on the table after about 5-10 minutes. Not coming from the mufflers.

Also I stick my hand through the cowl and around the carburetor, right around the area of the choke baffle (remember engine upside down) ,,,there is fuel on my fingers.

Otherwise the engine seems to run well, no real issues during the flights.

Trying to figure out where this fuel is coming from and/or is this normal?

Please advise, thank you,

If my 150 has fuel from the carb area like that, the low end is a little rich.

The pump or metering diaphragm covers could be a tiny bit loose allowing fuel seepage. Check the screws. Same with the fuel line, check to see it is tight on the carb fitting and secured. The engine could still run just fine with either condition. I'd suspect the fuel line if you are still using Tygon line. Later batches of Tygon seem to swell excessively leaving the line loose on the carb fuel fitting even when secured with a clamp or a tie. Solution to that is use Viton line. Other things could cause the problem but they would usually affect how the engine runs.
