Speak soon.
Geoffh, I am putting one of these planes together here myself and watched your maiden video,,, Nice

In the video it showed the 2 servos up front,,, throttle and choke,,, on a bulkhead. Did you close off the backside of the engine box completely?

thanks, BV

That's the way my version one came, with a full bulkhead where his is. My version two came with no bulkhead so I assume he added it himself unless he ordered it that way. How about it Geoffh?

Latest video.

No issues with flying at clubs here in SA, can't say how you would go in Vic but I doubt there would be any problems. The planes are great and had no structural problems but both mine and Geoff's have not had much flight time. Both mine and Geoff's are for sale at the moment at less than half the cost of what they will cost to build!

Thank you for getting back to me, Any reason why you dont fly them much? or is just the transport and setup that makes it a bit less appealing?

Would love to see one in persons flying.

Biggest put of is transport, means I have to tow the trailer to the field and need at least 3 guys to help me start it "safely". Buy mine and you can fly it yourself!! LOL

My 50% Yak is for sale at a very low price also (located in Perth) if anyone's interested.
If it doesn't sell by the end of winter/bonfire season, I'll be parting it out and will dispose of the airframe.- I rarely fly nowadays and it just takes up space.

haha thank you, Not in a position yet for the 50% but weighing it all up, Seams 40% is just a bit more friendly to get around with.

Castrol edge 540

Hi all,

I bought Geoff's edge last year.
I decided to take it apart and check everything
(No slight on Geoff, plane was built really well, it was for my own piece of mind on a 34 kilo airframe)

Changed the powerbox to a champion SRS (Futaba), and fitted a smoke pump.
Had it certified and displayed it at shep mammoth scale.
Pip Borrman, who built the original that this one is modelled on flew 5-6 times a week out of Shepparton airfield, before his accident.

Some of the locals who came to the RC show stated it brought back memories!

Using the pac 37x14 prop, it rips, is super loud, but sounds epic. Like a real one.

Reviving an old thread!

Excuse the flying, I was very rusty after over a year of lockdowns …
Nothing crazy, it was pretty windy and I was just getting the feel of it again.
