Hi fellow FG's, dumb question, I just ordered RF9 but my regular PC just died and the available Computer is not the best computer.
Can RF9 be installed on an external hard drive from disk and be run and loaded from there? My apologies not really a computer expert.

Did you order the DVD version or the digital download version? Are you asking to run it on the "not the best computer" but installing and running it from an external hard drive connected to it rather than directly from that computer?

If your moving it from one Pc to another pc (Already installed on the Ext driver), You will have Registry file errors and it will not Load,

But if you install it fresh on the Pc to the Ext Hdd, Yes it should work, may just load a bit slower.

Thank you, got response also on knifeedge, that is the intention instal on the EHD an run from there to save some space on the computer memory drive

It’s not directly related to your question since it’s not RF, but I run Phoenix on an external drive on one setup just for this purpose. You wouldn’t know the difference. I suspect other sims may work but it’s a matter of trying them.
