Are Graupner radios good for giant scale?
As there seem to be some radio's that seem not to behave well ,around
electronic ignitions i.e. Hitech. I was wondering how Graupner does in a large scale plane with ignition. Marc |

Are you asking because you want to buy one? What do you fly with now? I personally have not witnessed any problems with the HiTec systems.. we have a guy who flies 2 hitecs with no troubles.. i believe Graupner is a well respected name in the RC world as well.

I have used Graupner for more than 7 years in gassers from 30 -150 cc. Never a problem. However, Graupner is currently restructuring and Graupner USA closed ad of yesterday. I suggest you read this before going in that direction:

I have a Gaupner MZ 24.
I asked a friend who is a world class pilot if he see's anyone using Graupner in competition. He said he just see's Futaba,Spectrum,Jeti,JR. It seems Graupner,Taranis have a following in the Sailplane venues. Not go say that these radio's could possibly be very good in giant scale flying! We tend to use what is proven.....other than try something new when it comes down to risking our expensive planes. Learn from others faux pass ! At least that's how I feel. Marc |

Been using Taranis, and now Horus on turbine and gas giant scale with nary a hiccup for over 6 years now, know several other people who use FrSky radios on gas and no one I know has ever mentioned a problem. Taranis also seems to be the go to Tx for the quad racing crowd and with 4 motors, 4 esc's and a VTX all in a small space, that seems to be a pretty harsh RF environment too.
