Shopping in Europe

As a newcomer / beginner in the giant scale I would like to ask my European colleagues where you buy your engines, models and other stuff. In Poland prices are relatively high (in comparison to US). So better to buy in US, but what about taxes / duty, or better to look arround in China (DLE/DLA engines at KingHobby and wooden models at other manufactures) ?

If not what model at which manufacturer can you propose with the limit of 50 ccm engine (composite construction isn't required as it would be the first gas powered airplane model for me).

Greetings

Hi, you can buy everywhere within the European Community (EC) without any extra costs. Here are hundreds of (small) manufactures wich sell their kits, from full composite to plans. If you wanna buy worldwide you have to calculate customs and sales tax, these depending on your country. take care, when buying Rx and Tx-modules, they need a COC (certificate of conformatie) in EC.

What model do you wanna have? Airobatic, tug, biplane, warbird, ....

I am buying my stuff from Lindinger.at, Hepf.at, Aerobertics.be.
About duties- Everything you order from US or non Europe country valuing more than 100$ will have 20% value tax, so you end up with almost the same price as in Europe, but without 2-year warranty..
Forget that chinacrap.. Been there, done it..

I kinda luck out in this category; we have VAT forms and don't pay the tax! 20% off everything Of course I get paid in dollars which is a lot less than the Euro
