Season Opener

Pegasus will be our season opener this year on April 29th 2017.
For those of you who have not flown at the Pegasus field, you will enjoy expansive area around the flying site and the greet club that sponsors the event.
It's a great time to renew acquaintances and catch up with old friends.
Know someone who is interested in IMAC?
Bring them along. There will be plenty of help there for them.
Moving up to a new class? Let's getter done.

We finally got some weather at Pegasus we could fly in. It wasn't the greatest at times but manageable. Sunday turned out to be pretty nice for the Unknown and a final Known.
Season openers are different from other events throughout the season.
It's an IMAC event for sure but it's also a great social event.
I can't speak for everyone but my wife and I feel a special bond with our friends in the IMAC community.
The Pellerins and friends put on a feast fit for kings Friday and Saturday evening. These are very special opportunities to get back in touch with our friends and get to know new friends..
There was a lot of rust remover required to get some decent scores but most were getting into pretty good shape by the end of the event..
Mike Hornbaker won the Freestyle with an impressive demonstration of how you never want to think about using your IMAC plane. Great job Mike.
Just before the Awards Ceremony we were treated to another special demonstration.
Stan Klick (Master Builder), scratch built an exact scale model of the Pitts that Earle Andrews won the Unlimited IAC Championship with.
Earle flew the plane for us and put on a great demonstration of his currant flying ability. Not very often we get to see something like that. We can't put Earle in the AMA museum but I hope that plane ends up there.
For those of you who may not know Earle, he is a top IMAC competitor in the Advance Class.
Check out the winners and the scores on the IMAC web site.

He's that guy that's always smiling, cracking jokes and flies in the Advance Class. He has a dog named &&&&&&&&&&&&, I forgot.
