We had two basic pilots at the "Big Bob Memorial". Nothing to write home about, but still... But one of them is a young new club member who was out one day while I was practicing. I showed him the Aresti, brought him out to the flight line and talked him through it. Later that day we went through the basic routine with his plane. Before you know it he was asking his mom if she would bring him out after school that week to practice some with me, which she did. I haven't had something like that happen in several years, so I was probably as excited as he was. By the way, he flew very well in the contest. Now how to figure out how to keep that excitement with him. Next closest contest is in July and 250 miles one way. That would be a tough one for his mom to commit to
