My only fear is will it mess with the 2.4 radio and cause range issues in a plane?

I have been waiting for 2 years

I’ve also been waiting for two years. I’m using the XPS radio system.

Well here’s my first tests... unfortunately I ended up sending it back for replacement due to gps signal issues. I wanted to try the “wide” zoom tracking but didn’t get a chance, I think it’ll do much better for the faster planes.

Last episode with smoke really reveal luck of tracking not only vertical, but also horizontal ...
Focusing issue is also looking annoying, but with further firmware tuning maybe fixed or reduced.
interesting to know company responses on your complains regarding tracking and focussing issue.

I agree....thanks for sharing and I look forward to further updates. The focusing in/out is a deal killer for me...annoying. But I hope this is a firmware mod

Well I’m currently awaiting a new unit, that’ll probably take a week or so. I think the “wide” tracking will do much better but the focus issue is a firmware deal for sure. Who knows when a new firmware update will come out????

New firmware out. Still not great but slightly better. Now it's getting cold though and I have other hobbies to take care of until it gets warm again. I may try to bring the camera with me in the snow, we shall see.

Yes, gave the new firmware a try.

Weather wasn't the greatest. New firmware is an improvement. Initialization & tracking are better. Fewer focusing problems. I still fly too close to the Base which shouldn't be an issue with larger aircraft.
My only real complaint is tracking loss with quick vertical movement and direction change. I'm curious to see if larger aircraft have the same problem since they will fly farther away.
Settings: flight / tight / 1 second

So far it do not impress me much and I do not see any significant tracking improvement compare to Soloshot 2.

Any new Soloshot3 owners have some better results with RC planes?
