New battery charger

Hey guys,

I fly mostly gas, but want a good 4 port charger for the 4 or 5 electrics I have that range from 3s 2200mah to 6s 5000mah. I looked into building a high end dual port charger case, but don't want to put $400-$500+ into a charger. I don't race, and don't need to charge anything at 4-5c

I usually charge at home, but take a 2 port Hitec to the field with me just in case. I'm thinking about the Dynamite Prophet Sport Quad 4 x 100w. The idea is to be able to cut down charging time, and if my math is right, with 100 watts per channel, I should be able to charge my 6s 5000's at almost 1c or 3.9-4 amps, as opposed to 2.1- 2.4 amps on the Hitec.

Looking for opinions on the Dynamite Prophet Sport Quad or possibly the Venom Pro Quad 100w x 4. Thanks for any help.

I just did research for a new charger. Most charges will only get their max rating on DC power input. I have three Hitecs that are AC/DC and specs are much better powered by DC.
I just purchased the iCharger 306B along with the Chargery S600 power supply. The S600 is 5v to 26v output at 25amp. I also purchased a parallel charging balancing board. I bought this power supply for the variable output voltage because the Hitecs I have max at 18v.
If you get the Mean Well SE-1000-24 its a 1000watt 24 v and will allow the iCharger 306b to charge 6S packs at a full 30 amps.
I watched some youtube videos on parallel charging and it will speed up the charging process. Until I watched the videos I did not know the parallel boards also balanced all batteries. I purchased all items from Progressive RC

Icharger has released some new charger in the line that are compact and cheaper than the dual output series. Lock at X6 or X8 models.

For power supply you can quite easily mod some server psu purchased on web take a look for example to HP DSP 600 or 750. You will find also many tutorial on how to mod them and also use 2 of them in series to output 24V at low price.

Another option is ISDT. They have nice looking charger and powerful too like the T8.

I looked at doing the server psu mod, I probably will in the future just to have more power supplies. There is also Radiocontronics that sells the server psu already modded including 2 in series for a 24v setup and at a very reasonable price. $40 for a single 12v and $80 for a 24v setup.
The company has the hardest webpage to find due to the spelling of the name I found them off the RCgroups forums

If you want to mod your own this is a very popular psu with 1000watts https://www.parallelminer.com/produc...1000-watt-psu/
