I've always had good luck using Stay Brite silver solder and the head off of a 4-40 screw for the LS and and a head off of a 6-32 for the HS needle.
The ones from White Rose do have more bling though.

Needle's

This is what I have done. I cut the end off the needle then used a center drill in my lathe to start . Then drill and tap it to 2/56 , install a 2/56 by 1/4 inch allen head screw with loctite.
Works like a charm .

I once built a motor box to except needle adjustment tubes from outside the cowling while keeping gas and oil from going in my fuselage.
