ProModeler 420oz servos
So I'm trying to build out a 100cc Mx2 and am going to be purchasing servos (7) for the control surfaces on the build. I was going to go with my familiar 7955's but wanted to try something different. I ran across the ProModeler PDRS74420BLHV
Specifications Nominal Voltage*: 6.0 - 7.4VDC Operating Voltage: 5.5 - 8.4VDC Torque: 380 - 420 oz-in Speed: 0.14 - 0.12 sec/60° Frequency: 1520µs/330Hz Dead band: 2µs Weight: 73.5g Wire: JR/265mm Features High voltage Brushless motor Metal geartrain Water-resistance o-ring seals** Dual ball-bearing support CNC 6061-T6 aluminum case I was originally torn between the MKS 777 and Savox 1270, but the savings I would reap could pay for my CF prop or SWB arms, or other components. For a build that seems to be taking forever due to funds, this is definitely a factor. These have been out long enough, but I just don't see a lot of use of them on Giant Scale, or at least nobody is talking about them. Any experiences with these on giant scale? |

I've used and tested these servos and they work really well
![]() The guys who makes them is one of the good guys and stands behind his products. I wouldn't be afraid of them |

I've read through several threads regarding PM servos and I like John's attitude and business etiquette. Think I'll give them a shot.

I haven't used his 420 in oz servos before but have used the 140 and 215 in oz torque rated servos on my 100cc Yak. The performance has been great and they seem to be holding up well. I would purchase ProModelers servos again without any reservations.

Just got 4 of these today for my Beast and they are works of art! I have them next to 8711 HVs and must say they actually look better! At under 1/2 the price! Just installed them in the wings and they work great. Also john is a class act and a great guy to deal with!

Just bought 5 of these to try in a Aeroworks Extra 300 50cc. I know they are overkill for this size plane but at least I'll have half my servos for the 36% PAU Edge I'll be building this winter if they are any good. I tested them on my servo tester and they are nice and quiet and seem very smooth. Centering is spot on.
