I post on here for a couple of interested old "R/C" friends - they know the story, so sorry for not explaining. If you check the "Time Flys 2014" video from earlier in my blog theres a quick fire set of build photos starting from the first time I saw it in the barn. Vans stopped selling the RV-6 in 1993 when they released the (wait for it) RV-7. It's fairly unusual these days for a brand new one to fly, but as far as I can see mine is the 2546th RV-6 to take to the skies. Just like with R/C it does not have to be the very latest "hot ship" design to fly well, I'm really delighted with it and looking forward to lots of time spent touring Europe and beyond in the coming months. Cheers, Richard |
