looks like they are coming out with a less expensive, albeit probably less capable version of the 18MZ

Im betting that the 18SZM is what you think it may be, special programming for multirotors..perhaps with modified controls and software to control, among other things, a gimbal

MSRP of 140k yen is $1167
But unfortunately for us US buyers, Hobbico will tack on another $500 or so

Since I cannot read Japanese I have no way of knowing if it is "less capable" than the 18MZ. If their history holds I would expect this to be to the 18MZ what the 12Z was to the 14MZ. Basically the same programming power with a slightly different GUI.

But everything is speculation now. I do not even know the source of this scan. It could be a fake for all I know.

reading that it has a smaller color screen

Im interested in knowing more, and am crawling the web, but I think I'm going to bite the bullet and transition from Futaba to Jeti

And for us here in Japan, a 30% discount for a $830 street price.

I know. I was waiting for you to come on and translate it for us
You can definitely see that the form factor is similar to the 12Z, so its going to be smaller than the 14z and 18z radio's.

My guess is that Tower will msrp it at $2499, and sell it for $1999
Which puts it right where there is a current hole in relationship to the 18MZ that the 12z filled when the 14MZ was top dog.

Think more like an upgraded 12FG level, will fill the gap from the 14SG to the 18MZ. Software is apparently based on the FX-32. Price in Aus looks like it'll be in the $1499 area, about the same as I paid for a 12FG back in '07.

I've looked at the FX-32 manual. Its programming looks to be the same as the 18MZ. Flight conditions and all!!!

what judge was saying is that this page shows not only this new TX, but the long awaited 7018sb rx as well.

He wasn't referring to the 18SZ ad that shows it will include the 7008sb rx
