Made up the hatches for the flap and ail. servos. I'm not a fan of having the servos hanging out in the breeze, plus this plane is going on floats, so all the servos will be inside the structure.
Plus leading edges on and shaped.

I'm running behind because this is my first kit. Not liking the fit of the center section of the wing. So I'm guessing I'm going to have to build around the instructions.

I did get my spar straight. Hit it with the hose and weighted it down heavy. Worked like a charm

Both elevator servo mounts done...big airplane..tight squeeze in the back!
I'm using Hitec 5645...I use them on my 40% Cub, and it's elevators are 50% bigger than the Rascal. No issues...plenty of power.

Dave , do you have a inside shot, this exactly what I am going to do, want to make sure and not weaken the fuse, no rush if not, you might remove them when you cover the fuse, no rush because I have lost or cut wrong the wood for the leading edges, have email Mike and he is checking what goes where and what I might have done, tks frank

I didn't have enough 3/8 sheet to do all the leading edges.
I went to the LHS and picked up a couple of sheets.

ComeAWN, you can do it lol, I guess I will outline the inside hole with 1/8 by 1/4 bass wood, then we will need a bridge on the servo plate to mount the servo, going to trail fit my servos , my stab top is open, the critical part is the clearance of the servos, might move rudder to front and use pull / pull system, big plane but tapers very small to the rear end

I'm using a rudder pull-pull.
I make up a sliding/adjustable servo tray to make it very easy to apply some tension to the rudder cables. The servo tray has 4 slots with 4 bolts, simply loosen the bolts, pull back on the tray to the desired tension, tighten bolts...job done!
These pictures are from my 40% S/Cub.
