Giant Scale Pylon Racer

Phoenix Model has a new giant scale racer called the Outrageous! It's got an 80" wingspan and it is ready to play. They set the release date for January so get your thumbs ready. It's an ARF so it won't take long to build either. They designed it to accept gas or electric power in a 50-60cc size so choose wisely. The fuse has a nice large hatch that provides access to the interior for tank or battery installations and it should weigh in around 17-18lbs all up. Prepare to race!!!

I hope they can do something about the landing gear and pants. They don't look like they belong on a racer. Very intriguing looks for sure and the first of its kind that I am aware of.

Can't tell if it has a pipe tunnel--sure would be sweet on a good 60cc setup with a tuned pipe

I have owned several Phoenix models and they all had horrible landing gear mounting in the fuse. Even on a pretty good laning, the gear just ripped out of the fuse. I would never own another phoenix model again. Same goes for Hanger 9 as far as landing gear. They would have to spend a little more effprt on the gear if I were to ever consider one again. This is only my opinion so do your own research. That or I would strongly suggest you beef up the gear mounting before your maiden flight.

Not sure how that would run.
The wings are not thin like a TRUE racer?
