Flex Innovations is at it again!

From Quique:

We have a new plane and we are very excited! It is a 35cc gas class. All I can say is that we are extremely happy!! Make sure to watch the Seth Video, his flight it was spectacular! There are some new maneuvers in the video.

The QQ Yak 54 35cc features lightweight balsa, plywood, and carbon construction with aerodynamics to offer extreme 3D and tumbling performance as well as predictable and precise handling.

The innovative Shark Teeth leading edge softens the stall at the tip and reduces wing rock. The full-length aileron counter-balances offer high roll rates, even at lower airspeeds. Light wing loading is key to great 3D performance. The oversize fuselage gives to the Yak a true “50cc presence” in the air and as bonus the engine cylinder head remains inside of the cowling.

Still flying an early version 30 size . It is a joy to fly. This model has many upgrades and will be maybe the best 3D flyers ever! I'm a fan! Can you tell?

I'm curious about the full length counterbalances.

I hope QQ has great success- the market isn't what it used to be.

There's plenty of room for the VVRC. I've got plane and 40 twin on order.

Thank you for your wishes.
Full length counter balance is very effective, roll rate it is very high!...of course at high airspeed it is insane roll rate, but where it shines the most is in high alpha harrier....you can make them really nose up at "walking airspeed" but still maintain great roll rate. You also notice this when you do rolling harrier circles and how the airplane would maintain great roll rate when plane flies downwind!.
Also it would be easier on servo (boost).....
All aileron corrections at slow speed (high alpha) are very crispy and as result the airplane does not wobble around and looks crispier/steadier

Removable Tray

One of the features that I think it is very handy is the removable tray.
This is not only great to switch from electric to gas and vice versa it is great to access to the bottom of the plane to do repairs or to do exhaust installations.

That is a very nice touch! I just converted an AW 35cc Extra260 Freestyle from gas to electric--original owner set it up with a DLE30, but never flew it. Had to cut out the glued-in throttle servo box, and fish battery straps around, etc. Removable tray would be handy, and getting at the gear plate for potential repairs is HIGHLY beneficial, in the event of those rough dead-stick-type landings
