FlyingGiants Exclusive - AJ Aircraft Goes to China!

Recently Andrew and Tim Jesky from AJ Aircraft flew to China to visit the factory that produces their aircraft and to do some testing on a couple of new prototypes that theyíll be releasing soon. FlyingGiants is excited to give you a photo tour of their journey!

Get a behind the scenes look at AJ Aircraft's trip to China...

From Tim Jesky:

We flew into Hong Kong by way of Salt Lake City and Seattle. The flight over the pond took about 13 hours and it was good to be on the ground again.

From Hong Kong we hopped on a ferry over to the mainland and got to our hotel somewhere around 11PM.

Our host Johnson offered to take us to grab some chow but, we were way more interested in getting some sleep.

From Chinese cabbage, duck eggs to Iím not sure what. All I can say is Chinese food there is different from what we eat here. Thatís not saying itís bad, itís just different. Having learned that the Chinese waste very little, when they tell you something is made of beef, pork or chicken, that can cover a lot of territory, and I wasnít interested in learning more.

The working conditions appear to be very good too. Hereís a hint - If being able to apply covering is way up there on your list of priorities for a potential mate you need to check out the ladies that work here.

Iíll close this out with a few casual observations on our trip:

  • China is a busy place and lot of people.
  • I wouldnít get behind the wheel of a car there for love nor money.
  • Thereís not much traffic control and itís like a constant game of chicken.
  • In spite of the language and cultural differences weíre a lot more alike than different.
  • One night there was a wedding reception going on at the hotel and a couple of drunk guys ended up getting into a fight in the parking lot. Iím thinking heck, it rolls that way back home all the time.

While going to china to visit the factory and work on new products was a great time. I will say that getting to spend a week with my father was the best part of the trip.

We are very excited to continue to grow the brand and products and keep coming out with airplanes that you all enjoy flying.

The Slick in the field photo appears to be a 73" Skywing Slick, but can't wait to see what AJ and the crew have coming next.
