Lessons well learned from the Carbon Z cub battery hatch, this one is well designed and edges where wear will be are hidden and made of plastic as opposed to foam.
First look is positive!

Now I have a tough decision between this and the flex innovations Cessna that I had planned to get. Can't wait to hear some comparative reviews. This is $100 less expensive with a RX. But the flex looks to have a bigger presence and be more aerobatic from early looks.

Nearly $400 and the windows are stickers? Unless it has a scale cockpit it's just a toy.

IMHO there is no comparison. Sure the Flex Cessna is a bit more expensive but it is purpose built to be 3D capable, has a better power system and better flight controller. It also has double bevelled flaps so you can mix them for full length ailerons, crow etc...this and the lack of power were my two biggest disappointments with the Carbon Z Cub.

I think the Carbon Z Cub was great in it's time but it never did have the power system it needed and had a few other flaws. For them to release another similar plane with the same power system is a mistake in my book. Based on their video it appears as if they aren't marketing it as a 3D plane this time...looks more like a sport aerobatic or scale flight type plane.

Again, IMHO, there is no comparison in the looks department either...the Flex Cessna is much more scale looking and I prefer taildraggers.

That said, I'm sure it will be a great plane but strictly as a big, expensive, un-spectacular foam sport plane. My 0.02.

I think it's a great offering. I do prefer the lines of the Flex 170, and that its a taildragger. But, the price point is a little high for me.

I've always loved the 150 Aerobat. Time to put in the Iron Eagle soundtrack and do some canyon runs!

Carbon Z cub

Now don't get down on my CarbonZ cubs, I have two one on floats. They are a great airplane once you upgrade the motor to a power 60/470. Has unlimited vertical and makes a great glider tug up to 3 meters. The 150 looks like it has a lot of potential. My $.02

I agree...I actually loved my Carbon Z Cub, but by the time you get it setup it's the same price or more than the Flex Cessna 170. For that reason, if I was in the market I would do the 170 without a second thought.

I do understand that some people aren't looking to 3D these things and prefer the look of the 150 though.

I learned to fly in a full scale Cessna 150. Awesome plane. This new plane looks real sweet! I wonder how it would look to do a Texas Taildragger conversion on it?
