If you've ever been interested in learning the IMAC ropes, now's your chance! The Red Stick RC Club will be hosting a one-day "boot camp" to introduce pilots to the International Miniature Aerobatic Club, and how to fly scale aerobatics. The camp will be hosted on May 13th, and will cover IMAC theory, getting started, plane setup, and practice.

The location is FARR Model Airpark - 6402 River Rd. Baton Rouge, LA.

More Info from FG Member orthobird

IMAC south central region is hosting a boot camp for anyone who has ever thought of or considered IMAC. OR, if you do not know what it is, and would like to know, come on down to Baton Rouge for the IMAC boot camp.

IMAC stands for International Miniature Aerobatic Club.

IMAC is about helping you become a better pilot thru precision flying.

We will teach you how to fly in a straight line and how to make loops, stall turns, and hundreds of other aerobatic maneuvers. Over time, once you learn the principles of aerobatic flight, then you will have the tools to perfect all the many different aerobatic maneuvers at your own pace.

IMAC provides the rules; coming out and participating, you will develop friends and comradeship that will ultimately help with guidance and mentorship.

Please do not hesitate to contact Rich Whitlow, Doug Pilcher, or myself if you have any questions.

The boot camp is free. All you need to do is show up and bring your airplane, if you want to fly and get your plane looked over for IMAC readiness

from Florida, best way is to drive west on I-10 to Baton Rouge.

then, take Exit 155C to Louise Street, heading west.

take a right on Highland, then a quick left on Oklahoma Street, then head west to River road, and then turn left, heading south in River road for 3.62 miles, and the club will be right next to the MS river, in the BREC FARR Park.
