PLEASE LOOK AT THE ADVERTISED PICTURES OF THE PLANE! The ad clearly states the airplane was in and I quote "Great shape".

Purchased this QQ Pitts Python site unseen because I have never had issues purchasing off of FG before. I pre-paid via PayPal which was my fault and a rookie mistake. We agreed to meet at joe Nall and do the exchange and this is what I ended up with after pulling away the covering. I did notice the damage right away but the seller was name calling and threatening to physically harm me. He proceeded to push the plane at me and started name calling and saying you already "bought it you little twerp now get outta here". So I took the plane home having no choice and this is what I'm left to deal with.

Please know who your dealing with before you exhanchnge money. I take responsibility for buying an airplane on pictures alone. Please don't let this be you!

Now that is sad.... I think I would have just said "I'll be at Nall. You bring it, and if it's as advertised I'll take it" or words to that effect. Sorry you had a bad experience.

That sucks. I'd never pay for a used plane sight unseen. I did buy a plane from here that was advertised as new in the box and for some reason the elevator was recovered and was missing hardware. I now only buy new planes from vendors to avoid this kind of crap or hidden damage.

Do a Paypal dispute..

I take full responsibility for buying it online without having seen it in person. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an R/C deal. I have always had such great experiences. After examining further it has been repaired 2-3 times minimum. I can fix it without question, but I just hate when people try to mis represent something. This is such a great hobby and we all share the same general interest, why try to screw over one of your own? I truly don't get it. But I will take the Python and make it twice as good as it ever was and make it my own. The landing gear will NEVER be an issue now that I'm going to dive into it. I guess we live and learn. I certainly hope this guy doesn't pull a fast one on other people. I see he has several other airframes for sale!

Actually it is NOT too late to do a paypal dispute.... he totally misrepresented the condition of the airframe by saying in his add that it is in great shape...dispute it.... don't let him get away with it.

I know its not a contest, but I've been hosed worse. Dispute the transaction, or fix it and move on. I just hope the plane doesn't have bad juju.

The guys a hack, and what he did to you was pretty thin.......

Now you fix it and make it your own, and you will like the plane even more once youve put your own touch into it.

That's the plan! Although it's a pretty sour situation the only thing I can do now is look to doing an excellent repair job unlike the pilot before me. Filling the plane with balsa filler and dropping and gobbing epoxy everywhere like a 4 year old with elmers glue. An absolute hack of an attempt of a repair job. But....I'll make this thing right, take the time to do things correctly and make it true. Then....fly the absolute HELL OUT OF IT!!!!

You truly got ripped off and it is sad that the person even was getting violent over this. That shows he knew it and wanted to offload it. At least you learned as many of us have. I got a scammed by a guy named Paul Kelley, stickman (SP?) from CA on a bad DA 60 that he lied about. I had to send it back to DA to rebuild. It happens but you can bet I will even be more cautious on any of my future purchases.

Phil made a great suggestion for future purchase, of course I bet the guy would not have sold it being it had to pass the test after seeing it first hand. I am glad you posted this as it helps the rest of us stay away from crooks like this. The world has a lot of bad people in it and they really hurt themselves in the long run.

I mark those that scam others and never do business with them unless they change and make things right and even then it would be meticulous and step by step transaction.

You seem as if you know how to do quality repairs and once repaired, the plane should give you many days of enjoyment.

You sound like a you know a thing or two about repairing frames. Do it and enjoy it... don't worry, we all know what kind a of a b.... karma is. And he will pay for it sooner than later..... wish I was there with you, I'll be up for a nice with him.
