Discontinued Hitec Chargers

Does anyone know why Hitec discontinued many of its AC/DC chargers.
Just curious.

it can be assumed that since they are releasing newer chargers, that many of the older products are being phased out by the OEM who makes the chargers for Hitec.

Well, I'll tell you why I sold my Hitec x4 and Bought a Icharger 306b,, Watts!! The hitec was at 50 per channel, where the Icharger can bust out 500 or 1000 on 24 volts

Maybe they'll come out with something that can compete for guys running larger packs, but they may have missed the boat

What he said... with increasing power in batteries 6S to 8S , mire powerful chargers are needed, also with the use of charging boards to charge in series (or is it parallel.) fewer ports needed so the new batch is less bulky
Cheers
Patrick

Series increases voltage, parallel stays the same with multiple batteries increasing power output such as like in a diesel pickup with two 12 volt batteries which doubles cranking output to the starter

All true,, but you're talking apples and oranges

A parallel charge board makes it possible to charge multiple same cell count packs on one charge circuit at the same time,, a higher out put charger is required for these to function as designed
