Fly/Bonfire March 29

From Jack Estes...

The Memphis Propbusters are having their annual Spring Fly / bonfire Friday March 29th through Sunday, March 31st. This a great opportunity to break that winter cabin fever and join us for some good BBQ and great flying. All types of flying are welcomed. We are 3D friendly, welcome turbines, and have been known to get some foamie combat rounds started.

Event Location Link

It'll be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, although if somebody wanted to come in Thursday they'd be welcome.

We will set up a bonfire Saturday evening while we night fly and serve a BBQ lunch that's included with your $20 landing fee. Usually, somebody breaks out a guitar, so if you play, bring it!

We have electrical outlets that run the entire length of the pit area and a lighted clubhouse at the center. Water is available too. Camping/RV's are welcome, although we have no hookups. Officially the event is Friday through Sunday but early arrivals are welcome.

We are 8 minutes from a massive mall where you can find hotels, food, shopping, and anything else your significant other might want to do while you fly.

If you have any questions, just PM me.

Blake, great seeing you last weekend! Whit Hartsell invited Mark and I to the event so we'll be bringing a couple of new Extreme Flight planes to showcase such as the v3 78" Extra and v2 60" Extra so you can try before you buy. This will be my first time attending, and can't wait!

Looking forward to having you join us! We've had some warm weather this week and the grass is starting to wake up from the winter. It's gonna be a great time!

Nah, fly anything! We've even got a small quad course setup on the south end of the field. We'll keep it open unless we get too crowded and need the parking.

Wish there was a good 3d friendly event near this pathetic state im in..............the words 3d friendly sound so nice......Memphis would be 18 hours for me......sigh............Ive gotta get outta here!!

One of the local clubs came up with a pretty funny new rule:

No throttle jabbing.

Bunch of clowns out here. They would rather show up at the field with a new 99 dollar HH special and plant it in the dirt 1st time out.......... over and over............ rather than actually develop some ability and fly nice equipment. My favorite is the way they have the canopy blow off every other flight, then expect to shut the field down for 45 minutes while they search through the tall grass for it.............quality stuff goin down out here for sure!

You guys all over the country having this kind of fun are sooooo lucky. It just doesnt happen here, very depressing place to be.

Well, looks like we may have some rain late Saturday but that shouldn’t stop us from having a good time Friday and most of the day Saturday. People from out of town are already arriving, so for anyone on the fence, come on!
