Even on 4s these planes suffer from too little thrust and to high a load on the battery. My solution is to swap out the motor to a 45 R from precision aerobatics and add a 13 6,5 Xoar prop .
Runs a minute longer , and cool. Now you have the perfect combo . I love this plane.

I agree.. on 3s it’s almost worthless!! 4s atleast you can pull out of trouble a little better.. still the price is good tho
