DA-70 twin

I received a $250.00 gift card for a DA engine, bought me a DA-70 Twin to go in a 3DHS 91inch Yak-55. Looking forward to that combo, the plane had a DLE-61 in it and flew well just not enough punch. This should fix that problem.---Smitty

After years of a DA 60 with an ES composites tuned pipe on my 89 Slick, I decided to try a DA 70 on it. Little weight penalty but way more reliable overall and power is about the same.

Such a great engine. Especially if you fly alot. They hold up. The 60 is great and all but its a lot of work to keep it going under heavy use.

Hi Smitty

Over the years I have 3 DA-70cc twins You can't go wrong with this motor --- you will love it

I have a DA-70 in my 3DHS 91in. Yak 55 M . This has been my go to plane for 4 years now --- what a great combo this is

Just make sure you baffle the cowl , so the air is directed over the cylinders for cooling . I run a 25/8W carbon falcon prop and get 6800 to 7000 RPM

Let us know how you like you DA-70 when you get it running

Cheers

Ray

that's a topper on my favorites also, the 70 is so smooth and responsive and once broke in will idle like a 4str

I like the 70 I have too, easy start, trouble free so far, smooth, fast throttle response. But that may be due to the 24-9 Falcon @ 7450 rpm.

A 24/9 Falcon is an excellent prop for the DA 70.
