Thanks orthobird!

I got some genuine vinton on the way.

I use non-ethonol gas, but I know any gas will kill the tygon eventually if its soaked inside. Hear ya loud and clear on the viagra.

I think I will put a small piece of brass in the middle though just to be safe. I'm paranoid now after seeing that clunk stuck in the front of the tank. I should of taken a pic.

I'm using felt clunks. No idea if that makes a difference in weight.

After 8 flights of using tygon and a small piece of brass tubing inside the tygon, no problems at all.

I will change the tygon out for the vinton when it arrives next week.

Large tanks, like those used for big gas airplanes are more prone to getting the clunk stuck in the front (more room for the fuel line to bend forward and possibly get stuck)
Use a tube long enough to prevent this possiblity.

What size vinton is the best choice for use in fuel tanks? 1/8 ID X 1/4 OD?

If you have a McMaster-Carr item number, that would be great as well. I am thinking the correct item number is 5119K41

One more question, what do you use for clamps?

Thanks!

I use another short piece of Viton over it. A needle nose pliers and a bit of rubbing alcohol helps install it. DuBro makes brass barbs that you solder on the brass tube and it will never leak or slip off with them.
BTW, I use a filter on the vent and the fill, but it is straight through from clunk to carb.
