The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter, after the P-51 and P-47. P-40 Warhawk was the name the United States Army Air Corps adopted for all models. A total of 11,998 P-40s were built before production was finally terminated in 1944.
The Seagull Curtiss P-40N 80″ / 2032mm Warhawk is extremely lightweight with its balsa and plywood construction. It has a highly detailed cockpit and Painted fiberglass cowl, exhaust ports, and landing gear pods. The factory-applied Oracover covering trim scheme and the painted fiberglass cowl recreates the iconic “Shark Mouth” which helps this model stay true to the look of the original real WWII-era P-40 Warhawk aircraft.

Where would you find a correctly shaped spinner for this plane?

Main gear wheels are way small compared to scale. All P-40s had very large diameter wheels compared to later warbirds. Good to see new planes on the market but details like this really stand out.

Agreed, I'm not expecting a scale competition class bird but leaving out these details leaves a lot to be desired.

I thought this was an update or remake of the Skyshark N model, but the wingspan is shorter, so I suppose its an original design. Just seems a little small for my DLE55, and maybe too much for my 30cc. But any warbird experts can correct me on this.

I have a Zero of similar size powered by a 53 and it weighs around 22 pounds ... flies great though. I believe the Zero has more wing area than this P40. |

The Phoenix version seems to be a similar option:
https://www.towerhobbies.com/product.../PMMA1770.html I have one new in the box that I'll be setting up with a 12S Electric power system. The quality is about what one would expect out of Phoenix/Blackhorse/Seagull. However the Phoenix comes with a nice set of electric main and tail retracts (not mentioned on towers site since the first version came with pneumatics) and its significantly cheaper. |

I'm still wondering if any company makes a scale P 40 spinner.
