Converting Microfilm to pdf/png?
I have 2 rolls of 35mm microfilm from the Smithsonian Institute of all the plans and documents for the Curtis Jenny government contracts.
Can any of you recommend a company for converting the microfilm rolls to pdf or png (scalable) files? |

FYI, I found a good way to convert microfilm to pdf.
The companies I talked to wanted $200 to add my rolls to their library.. I wasn't about to go for that. My local library has lots of microfilm rolls of old newspapers and legal courthouse papers. I called the library and got permission to use their microfilm machine. It took me about an hour to scroll through one roll and capture a pdf of each image. I didn't have the time to study them very closely. But, there was some outstanding details like little hinges on the cowl vents.. I never noticed them before. Also, there's all the mounting brackets for a Browning machine gun. I just wanted to close the loop on this thread and share a tip on getting Smithsonian microfilm converted to pdf for free. |

Try contacting local companies or archives that provide microfilm conversion services. Sometimes they may have the equipment to perform such tasks.

To be honest, Festivus, many of my posts are also typed without intelligence.

There are online services that provide services for converting microfilms into PDF or PNG files. Just try searching. I am also looking for a literature review writing service myself, I use https://ca.edubirdie.com/literature-...riting-service often for this. Look at the main reviews of a particular company. This is very important, with experience you will understand.
