BJ's Model Engine Service

Can anyone tell me if BJ's Model Engine Service is still in business? I called left messages and sent emails and no reply. They repair the Brison engine and I have one that needs TLC. They are (were?) located in Beacon Falls CT USA.

Best
Frank

even if they were in still in business. would you really still want to give them your engine knowing that they don't answer? there's only one thing worse than trying to get ahold of a company that won't answer the phone.....and that's trying to get ahold of a company that has your engine that doesn't answer the phone.

You are right. It doesn't look good when they don't answer. Good thing is I still have my engine. And stuff happens in life too, sickness etc, who knows why they don't answer. Just thought I would ask here, maybe someone knows what's up.

Frank,
Give Charlie at Fox Mfg a call, he can fix just about any engine he gets his hands on.

Ralph can fix anything. Try PMing him. RCIGN is his name on here. Don't know if he still does business anymore though.

I don't...I'm trying to quit...Unless someone is a prior customer, don't send me any broken engines...

Too bad if BJ's is down. They rebuilt a Brison 3.2 for me and did an excellent job. Sent all the old parts back with the engine along with a summary sheet showing all work done and results of a test run. All work was pre-approved and price agreed upon before I even sent them the engine. Great transaction.

Hey All
Bill is still in business, and doing great!!... He is in the process of installing extra phone lines too. He spends a lot of time on the phone with customers and those guys looking for help. He gives very freely of his time and experience helping others

His shop is one of the best I have seen for engine repair.

He and his crew are among the most experienced engine guys in the business. He ain't retired, he is busy......

Cheers
Henry

Do Not believe BJ's Engine Service is ok

I sent Bill Jensen a Saito FA300T that I purchased new in 1989 that was never crashed or harmed but sat up in the box for 27 plus years. I sent the engine to him to take apart and clean as needed and get it running again. I also paid him to put electronic ignition on it. He kept the engine for over 3 months and butchered the engine, drilled holes in the crankcase and charged me over $500 bucks to get my engine back. I have photos to prove what I am saying. He is not only incompetent he is a liar and if you trust him with your engine it is on you. If you think I sound bitter I am. I had to send the engine to Scott Swirles at Aeroscott Model Engine Repair in California to take the engine apart and reassemble correctly and get it running. I am happy to provide anyone who wants to know with photos and proof of what I am telling you. These are the facts.

That's pretty irrelevant on
A) - An OLD thread
B) - A Business that is closed down
C) - All of the Above
