Information regarding Tim Mills of Indianapolis

I have been asked to post a thread here in regards to our friend, Tim Mills of Indianapolis, IN.

Yesterday Tim Mills, suffered a massive stroke and is in intensive care at Methodist Hospital. Unfortunately it appears that this one will take his life. The word is that the family intends to remove the respirator tonight and allow Tim to pass in peace.

I'd like to ask that everyone keep Tim and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they and all of us prepare to say good bye to one of Indiana's finest men.

As more information becomes available I will share it.

This is such sad news....Tim was such a wonderful man with such a passion for the R/C community. I so enjoyed the times I got to spend with Tim and sure loved watching him announce each year at the Indy R/C Fly In for Diabetes each fall as well as visiting from time to time at the NC IMAC contests. He will surely be missed. Will be keeping his family in prayers this evening. Tim was a true patriot to God and Country! Rest in peace my friend!

This is extremely sad news.

I'm proud to have known Tim, to have competed with him, laughed with him, and to have shaken his hand as a friend!

My thoughts are indeed with him and his family.

I don't know Tim well, but have had the pleasure of talking to him several times.
He flew at our field occasionally, and he was one of the first I met when I first started flying.
I had never seen a giant scale plane, or such a good pilot. I was in awe,
and he took a good hour and a half out of his flying time to patiently talk to me about the
plane, its setup, IMAC, and flying in general. Every time I ran into him, I came away thinking
what a cool guy he is.

Prayers to him, family, and his many good friends.

There isnt enough words to describe what a great guy Tim is. He always has a smile and a hug for me.
They say God takes the good ones first, well, he just picked one of the best.
Rest in peace my friend. You are very loved and will be missed by many.

Thoughts and prayers for his family.

Re: Information regarding Tim Mills of Indianapolis

This is such sad news. Tim is a wonderful man who will be dearly missed. He looked after his mom for years. I remember him often traveling many miles to compete for one day and then go back to take care of her. He was always very generous.

His wit and laughter was unmistakeable. One of my favorite people. One of the funniest memories I have of Tim was at the first IMAC Judging Seminar, Kurt and Will were there. They had both only been flying IMAC a season or two and for some reason everyone kept calling them the wrong name. They had shirts made up with "Not Kurt" and "Not Will". Tim's comment, "Well heck - All ya'll look alike to me."

He was a very capable pilot as well. Another early memory I have of him is watching him lay down a beautiful 8 point roll. He flew a Great Planes Extra 300 for years and was always willing to help anyone he could.

Tim - you will be missed here on earth, but I know you are in Heaven - scoring 10's.

Tim indirectly got me started in Giant Scale. I had an ISC (Indy) Extra 300S and he gave me great advice on it. As well as being a wonderful friend on the forums.

We love you Tim, and our prayers are with you and your family.
