boothg-3 It seems intimidating when you think about it but it will guide you through the process the first time take it slow and be patient

Xpress.. Updating the transmitter and receivers is pretty simple. Open the HPP-22 software on your computer, plug in the HPP-22 module, and then select which component you want to update from the software. It will pretty much guide you with a picture guide from there on out.

closetguy No offense taken, when it comes to computers I'll be the first to say that I'm as dumm as a box of rocks! The easy programming was the main reason I bought the A9, and I can do most anything with out looking in the book.

birdbrain No offense BUT I love it when some struggle with stuff like me .I dont feel so alone !!! The receivers are done seperatly . If you just follow the instructions you will be fine ( make sure there the latest version . Ive also got a Frsky taranas and it took me 5 weeks to figure out how to do throttle cut . I want to get theFrsky Horus but I'll wait untill they have all the bugs worked out before I get one . Im not looking forward to that . Listen to Xpress and you'll be sweet . Cheers the brain

closetguy Thank You, I might just try doing the updates.I kind of know the process for the transmitter.Do you do the receivers with the transmitter at the same time?If it's to long of process to explain don't bother,or is that explain in the process when doing the transmitter.

Xpress.. I would update the transmitter and receivers, some of the updates along the way were pretty important in improving the RF link, especially for gas airplanes.

You can always call us anytime Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM PST (California) and we will be more than happy to assist you with any issues you come across

closetguy No I haven't done a thing to either the radio or receivers.I haven't had any problems at all,it's been a good easy to use radio for years.I didn't even know about updates for the receivers.
And all I fly is 30% gassers and one electric 200 mph hotliner, that is getting more attention on my part then the gasses. It's all together a different world in RC,then I'm use to.I use to say I would never have a E plane.

You can always send it back to Hitec for updates. Have you done any of the receiver or RF updates? Some of these were pretty significant and important updates along the way depending on the age of the radio.

BINGO birdbrane! I was trying to just scroll up from model 7 to 8 with the up and down arrows.
New model did the trick,Told you I wasn't much good with computers! If it doesn't take a wrench to fix it I'm lost!
Thanks a lot.
If you have the early A9 I would definitely do the updates . It is pretty easy and I would update the tx ,rx and modual and you may have to update all your receivers . A pain but worth it and definitely do all the receivers as bad things ( crash , dont ask how I know ) may happen .There was a early issue with using gassers I.I.R.C. that was fixed with updates so it may be in your best interest to do that . Just go by the instructions and u cant go wrong . Cheers

boothg-3 If you have an early radio like mine I highly recommend updating it
It corrects some issues adds a few features and pretty much does away with scan mode and normal

birdbrain How many models do you have in the TX ? If its only 7 when you add a new model it automatically will add another model number eg. if you have 7 models added , go to new and it will guild you through the setup and when finished you will now have 8 models on the TX . If by any chance u have more than 7 currently on there I cant help . Good luck , I luv my A9 . Cheers
